Paper Plate Lion!

Paper Plate Lion

Day 3 of our week - Our theme this week is zoo/safari. The letter of the week is D, d and the number of the week is 7.

Project - The kids made a paper plate lion to go along with our zoo/safari theme. They painted the outer edge of the paper plate orange and the inner circle of the plate yellow. After the paint was dry, Connor and Lauren cut 1 inch strips on the outer orange part of the plate. (the lion's mane) Then, they glued on googly eyes and used a black marker to draw a nose and mouth. This project could be made into a mask by cutting holes for eyes. Materials needed - paper plate, orange and yellow paint, paint brush, googly eyes, black marker, scissors
