Painted Hand Butterfly!

This project idea comes from the May 2012 issue of Family Fun magazine.
Addie and Tana each painted a piece of white paper using water color paint.  When the paint was dry I folded the paper in half, and traced both of their hands.  Then I cut out the shape!  Materials Needed:  white paper, paint brush, water color paint, scissors, pencil

Pretty Paper Daffodils!

These Daffodils were so simple to make.  I think they would make great Mothers Day gifts!  I put the two flowers Addie made in a small, glass vase on our counter - they look adorable.  This is our 2nd springtime daffodil project this week.  We did both of the projects on rainy, dreary, cold days!  Hopefully, the weather will get brighter and warmer.

Hatching Chick!

Addie's Hatching Chick
I found this cute chick project on making learning
It is super easy to make.  Paint a small paper plate yellow.  When dry cut in half and scallop the edges.  Paint a large paper plate yellow.  Let dry.  Glue on googly eyes and an orange triangle beak.  Add a few yellow feathers to the top.  Cut another large paper plate in half and cut it to look like a cracked egg.  Glue all of the pieces together!  Materials Needed:  2 large paper plates, 1 small paper plate, scissors, paintbrush, yellow paint, glue, googly eyes, yellow feathers, orange construction paper
